The Residency is Seattle’s premier hip-hop artist development program, empowering young creatives ages 16–24 with the tools, mentorship, and industry access they need to launch real careers in music. Through free studio time, professional coaching, live performance opportunities, and a nationally recognized Summer Intensive, The Residency removes financial and systemic barriers so emerging artists can focus on their craft and their future.

Rooted in the culture and driven by community, The Residency helps build confident performers, skilled producers, and leaders who carry hip-hop forward with authenticity and purpose. Their appearance at the Blessing in Disguise Music Festival supports this mission by showcasing rising talent and amplifying youth voices that deserve to be heard.
